In addition to participating in weekly orchestra rehearsals and performing in three concerts in November, February, and May, Oakland Youth Orchestras provides additional learning opportunities through Chamber Ensembles and Music Theory programs, as well as performance and community service opportunities through Outreach Concerts, and opportunities to earn cash awards through a Solo/Concerto Competition and Merit Scholarship program.
