Are you eligible to audition?
If you’re an early elementary through high school student in the upcoming fall, and are currently active in your school music program (as it exists or are available to you), you are eligible to audition! Musicians accepted into OYO are expected to remain active in their school music programs. It is strongly suggested that OYO students take private lessons to promote musical growth.
How do I join?
Auditions allow us to create the best conditions for learning and to maintain our standards of excellence. All current and prospective members of OYO must audition. Main auditions are generally held mid-April through May each year. Auditions for select instruments to fill vacancies are also held in August.
Additional Opportunities
In Chamber Ensemble, students play in small groups, one player to a part. All Strings, Brass and Woodwind students from Studio String, String, Philharmonia and Symphony Orchestras are welcome to participate.
Learn MoreOYOs Community Outreach offer students further performance opportunities throughout the area.
